We are the
Rakhine Coastal Region Conservation Association
Welcome to our beautiful home.
Much to explore Much to learn Much to Protect
We are a grassroots conservation organization, led by local Rakhine people for the protection of our unique coastal ecosystems, traditional culture and livelihoods. Working with NGOs, experts, and government, we empower local communities and in particular the young people to take control of their resources and build their own sustainable futures.
But Myanmar is changing rapidly. Threats to our natural environment and way of life are increasing. The legal structures we need to defend ourselves and our land from exploitation are only now being developed.
Your support for our work, in the form of new organizational partnerships, research or tourist visits, helps ensure a sustainable, vibrant future for the Rakhine Coast. It allows us to work quickly and effectively on the ground to maintain the integrity and beauty of our natural environment and give power back to communities when it matters most.
